प्रतिवर्षी दिनांक 22 डिसेंबर रोजी प्रशालेत गणित दिन उत्साहात साजरा केला जातो परंतु 22 डिसेंबर 2023 रोजी वार्षिक स्नेह संमेलन झाल्याने प्रशालेत राष्ट्रीय गणित दिन दिनांक 16 फेब्रुवारी 2024 रोजी साजरा करण्यात आला.
थोर भारतीय गणितज्ञ रामानुजन यांच्या जयंतीचे औचित्य साधून म.ए.सो. राणी लक्ष्मीबाई मुलींच्या सैनिकी शाळेतील इयत्ता 6 वी ते 8 वीच्या विद्यार्थिनींसाठी प्रश्न मंजुषा स्पर्धा आयोजित करण्यात आली. कार्यक्रमाच्या सुरुवातीला रामानुजन यांची माहिती विद्यार्थीनींनी सांगितली. ही स्पर्धा कुलश: होती. प्रत्येक कुलातून 3 विद्यार्थिनी एका गटात सहभागी झाल्या होत्या.
स्पर्धेत एकूण सहा फेऱ्या घेण्यात आल्या .
1) MCQS
2) Life of Indian Mathematicians
3) Rapid Fire
4) Puzzles – Tangram
5) Riddle
6)Instant Challenge
तसेच प्रेक्षकांसाठी देखील प्रत्येक फेरीच्या मध्ये Fun in Maths द्वारे प्रश्न विचारण्यात आले.
संपूर्ण कार्यक्रमाचे नियोजन प्रशालेतील इयत्ता 9 वीच्या विद्यार्थिनींनी केले. स्पर्धेचा निकाल पुढीलप्रमाणे –
प्रथम क्रमांक – लक्ष्मी कुल
द्वितीय क्रमांक – जिजामाता कुल
तृतीय क्रमांक – अहिल्या कुल
कार्यक्रमासाठी प्रमुख अतिथी म्हणून सैनिकी परिवारातील मा. सौ. प्रीतीलक्ष्मी यज्ञरमन व मा. अमृतावाहिनी पी वाय गोपाकृष्णन उपस्थित होत्या तसेच प्रशालेचे कमांडंट ए. व्ही. एन. विंग कमांडर एम. यज्ञरमन, प्राचार्या पूजा जोग, उपमुख्याध्यापक अनंत कुलकर्णी, पर्यवेक्षक शाम नांगरे व संदीप पवार हे कार्यक्रमास उपस्थित होते. प्रमुख पाहुण्यांनी आपल्या भाषणात विद्यार्थिनींना गणित विषय व त्याचा अभ्यास कसा करावा याबद्दल बहुमोल असे मार्गदर्शन केले. संपूर्ण कार्यक्रमाची आखणी मा. कमांडंट व मा. प्राचार्या यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली गणित विभाग प्रमुख रेखा रायपूरकर व सर्व गणित अध्यापक रविंद्र उराडे, वैशाली शिंदे, प्रियांका हजारे यांनी केली.

National Maths Day Celebrations at MES’s RLMSS (Girls Military Academy)
~ Every year on 22nd December, Maths Day is celebrated by RLMSS school with great enthusiasm and fervour.
~ This year due to conduct of Annual Gathering on 22 Dec 2023, National Maths Day was accordingly celebrated on 16 Feb 24 (Fri)
~ On this occasion, in memory of the great Indian Mathematician Shri S Ramanujan, MES’s Manjusha Quiz Competition was organised for the Cadets of Class VI to VIII. Following topics were introduced and tested too :
~ Life History and achievements of Shri Ramanujan and other Indian Mathematicians
~ MCQs
~ Rapid Fire Round
~ Tangram Puzzles
~ Riddles
~ Instant Challenge
~ Fun in Maths etc
~ The subject event was prepared and conducted by Cadets of Class IX and the following were declared as position holders of the Quiz :
~ Laxmi House – Winners
~ Jijamata House – Runners 1
~ Ahilya House – Runners 2
~ Sou Preethilakshmi Yagnaraman (Mathematics Teacher with long service) of the RLMSS Family alongwith Ms Amrutavauhini PY Gopakrishnan respectively as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour were welcomed by the Principal, Ms Pooja Jog. Following the Traditional Lamp Lighting, the celebrations continued as desired.
~ Amidst the august presence of RLMSS Officials, the event was concluded on a happy note with the Chief Guest announcing the position holders and with an encouragingly inspiring talk.
~ Sou Rekha Raipurkar, Head of Department of Mathematics (Secondary Level) along with other Staff of the Department Shri Ravindra Urade, Sou Vaishali Shinde and Ms Priyanka Hazare steered the event to a great success.
