In a first such, a 45 Flight Cadets (Men & Women – Officer Trainees) Contingent of 220 PFTC, AFA headed by Group Captain Aditya Anil Kelkar, Senior Instructor, PFTC from Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, as part of their Study Tour, visited RLMSS Campus motivating the young and aspiring Girl Cadets of MES RLMSS.
Upon arrival, the Contingent was accorded a traditional welcome followed by RLMSS Salute accorded by the Academy Cadet Captain Cdt Rutuja Riya Rajesh Sinkar, accompanied by the other Appointment Cadets of RLMSS including Air NCC Sqn Appointments (trained by Ms Tejashree Dighe, GCI of RLMSS)
Followed a special assembly curated by the Cultural Appoinrments
CCC Cdt Apurva Vaishali Chandrakant Kenjale & CVC Cdt Vaishnavi Vaidehi Vineet Godbole of Class XII.
All the 45 Flight Cadets addressed the Girl Cadets of RLMSS with mentions regarding their academics, hard work and dedication resulted into their inspirational journeys to join the Air Force Academy to undergo their Pre-commissioning training and serve the Nation as Commissioned Officers.
The Course Senior Flt Cdt Shreya Kanhekar of Army background, in her speech impressed upon the ‘never let go’ attitude and consistency as a routine in preparing oneself to reach the pinnacle of success and see the aspirations fructifying.
The Chief Guest and Keynoter, Gp Capt Aditya Kelkar, delivered a high energy addressed laced with pearls of gems of his three decades long contribution and experience with the Indian Air Force as an Air Navigator, Qualified Navigational Instructor and Senior Instructor PFTC.
The Assembly ended with the traditional ‘ShivagarjanA’ by the Girl Cadets and Staff alike, followed by an informal interaction with the visiting contingent.
Prior to the lunch session, a few aspirants from the PFTC visited the RLMSS range, conducted by Hav Shri Gajanan Mali and had an hands on experience on various sophisticated sports firing weapons duly assisted by Class XII Cadets of RLMSS Firing Contingent.
Post lunch, the Contingent Commander, along with the Flight Cadets took a walk visit and exchanged goodwill with all the Girl Cadets who lined up with their ‘Happy Landings’ wish messages.
The visit ended on an enriching, memorable and emotionally happy note as the contingent was ‘seen off’ by the RLMSS Officials and Staff alike.
