On the occasion of National Space Day Cadets and teachers of RLMSS was invited to visit Kalpakghar – Community Tinkering Centre, Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park for celebrating India’s remarkable achievements in space science and commemorating the Chandrayaan-3
Cadets experienced a joyful Science learning by participating in different activities making National Space Day 2026 an exciting journey of exploration, creativity, and discovery.
The Inaugural talk on National Space Day was given by Dr Anupreeta More, Research Faculty, IUCAA Pune.
In that she had explained Satellite Classification, types of Wave Technologies and launch vehicles. She reviewed Indian Space Missions – Chandrayaan-1, 2 and 3 along with Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) and also explain India’s future Programs – (Upcoming programs) like MLM (Mars Launching Mission) planned for 2030–31 to collect landing data, alongside Aditya-L1 (Solar), NISAR (Earth), and Gaganyaan (Human Spaceflight).
During the afternoon session, the cadets were given colouring sheets featuring space exploration themes and were also tested with a quiz.
student cadets rotated through the hands-on interactive zones of the park for Science Park Galleries Exploration, which are divided in 3 parts.
1. Physics Section: Investigating principles of motion, force, and light.
12. Energy Section: Exploring power generation and sustainable alternatives. 1
3. Mechanical Section: Studying gears, structural design, and machines.

The visit to the Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park for National Space Day 2026 was a resounding success. The well-structured exhibits and expert guidance from the faculties made complex space tech accessible and inspiring. By bridging theoretical classroom knowledge with interactive visual models and immersive VR experiences, the tour successfully achieved its goal of promoting STEM engagement and fostering immense national pride in India’s space achievements.
