Visit to production plant of DANA India technical centre Pvt. Ltd.
Chakan, on 11th March 2025
In association with DANA technical Pvt. Ltd. RLMSS planned an Industrial visit at Bamboli Chakan on 11th March, 2025 The shadow Cadet Captains of class 11th and members of ATAL Tinkering Club from Class 8th and 9th were also selected for the visit.
Departure of cadets were at 6.55 am along with Science teacher Ms. Priyanka Hajare and Shri. Sameer Jadhav and Subedhar Navnath Pawar. Arrival was at 9:00 am at the industry canteen for the breakfast.
A powerpoint presentation which had overview of the industry was shown to team RLMSS.The industry is divided into two units mainly the operational and the -functional unit; which are further divided into various departments like manufacturing, quality product, maintenance, human resources department, etc. The overall plant is headed by Shri Ajay Prabhu. The head person then guided troop for the ‘Shop floor visit. The team observed production of axles which are used for transmission and support in automobiles and the production of different types of axles which are used in various sectors like agriculture, construction, intercompany, etc.
The team observed the actual working, testing, manufacturing and parking of axles on the Shop floor, instructions about the safety measures to be followed in the premises. Following this the loading of product and the supply chain. Some doubts of cadets were cleared by the technical experts.The visit ended with wonderful feedbacks given by cadets and a Powerful Nagarjana.
Such experiences and opportunities will definitely help cadets to explore technological solutions in real life scenarios, gaining practical insights, valuable skills.
This visit was remarkable journey of gaining insightful knowledge, discussion and learning experience.
