MES ATL Committee Coordinator Dr. Dattatray Naik, Sainiki School Principal Pooja Jog, MES English Medium School, Shirwal Principal Mrs. Swati Joshi and ATL in charge Mrs. Manjiri Patil and Mrs. Ashwini Hingane Visited VIIT College of Engineering, Dept.Of IOT Kondhwa campus.
Dr. Shraddha, Head of IOT Department and Dr. Deepti Pandit, Head of IEEE Department, gave information about conducting various activities and workshops on coding, programming etc. for school students using IOT technology under Community Engagement Project (CEP) as per NEP.
All the attendees visited the VIIT, IOT labs and learned about the various activities there. IT Mobile Lab, an activity implemented by Infosys, is useful for students to improve their practical skills.
Students presented information about various projects going on in the IOT lab.
College Principal Dr. Vivek Deshpande interacted with the audience about the emphasis on hands on activities in the college and providing opportunity to students to develop their skills under various clubs which will definitely benefit them in getting various job opportunities.
The report of the two-day workshop held in January 2024 at M.E.S.Eng School, Shirwal was presented by the students cell head students. Mainly information about the purpose, features, result, outcome and future plans of the workshop was detailed.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between VIIT and English Medium School Shirwal as well as VIIT and Sainiki School for conducting regular workshops for school students through Atal Tinkering Lab in collaboration with VIIT ICEE to introduce modern technology and provide expert guidance to English Medium School Shirwal and Sainiki School was done.
The main objective behind this is to assist students in imparting future skill oriented education in school life.
Through these , other schools in the area will be connected through the cluster school scheme, especially students from rural areas will get basic knowledge of technology and they will be self-motivated for further technical education.
